Welcome
Check In – How is everyone doing (good things, teaching applied, lessons learned, prayers answered)?
Word
- What was a favourite activity of yours as a young child?
- Read 2 Kings 2:1,6,9-10.
- Who were the two main characters? What do their names mean? Old Testament names were often given by God or a circumstance under which a child was born. Why is it important to name your child? (reference Prov. 22:1)
- When we accept Jesus as our savior, who does the choosing? What is the purpose of being chosen?
- What is an apprenticeship? Why is important? (reference Phil. 4:9)
- Life has its ups and downs. Read Phil. 3:8-11.
- How do you handle a loss?
- Read Sampson’s riddle Judges 14:14. How does life come out from death?
- Read 1Peter5:10. Break down this scripture into its four points – calling, learning, loss, win. What is your calling? What are you learning? Have you or are you overcoming any loss(es)? What does it mean to you to win in life?
- What is your personal application from today’s lesson?
