Welcome
Check In – How is everyone doing (good things, teaching applied, lessons learned, prayers answered)?
Word
- When you go on a journey are you a light or heavy packer?
- Read Romans 8:28, Philippians 1:6
- How are these verses an encouragement to us?
- How can waiting for these promises, be a discouragement? Pastor John mentioned that we can have bad thinking that leads to bad conclusions, have you ever experiences that?
- People often interpret God’s silence as absence. Why do you think people do that?
- Read Matthew 4:12–13 and answer the question that follows the verse. When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum… When have you felt like God was “at the beach” while you were “in the desert”?
- How can we know that God is not absent or apathetic in our life?
- What is something that you need to apply from this lesson?
Witness
