Worship
Listen to a Worship song (If you need suggestions, you can use one from the Small Group YouTube Playlist or the Fall Worship Playlist) or express something that you are thankful to God for.
Welcome
Check In – How is everyone doing (good things, teaching applied, lessons learned, prayers answered.)
Word
- Who is the most famous person that you have met?
- Read Colossians 3:17
- The Bible tells us that we are Christ’s Ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20), Heavenly citizens (Philippians 3:20) and Priests (1 Peter 2:9). What can you learn from each of these truths?
- What does it mean to act with the authority or identity of Christ (In Jesus Name)?
- How can we ensure our words and deeds are consistent with who He is and what He wants?
- Pastor John listed several areas in our life that we need to endeavour to live “In Jesus Name”. Which area do you struggle with?
- Why do you think Paul mentions thankfulness in three consecutive verses to close this passage?
- What are some ways we can intentionally do things “in the name of the Lord Jesus” this week?
Witness
Be praying, as we move closer to the Christmas season, for opportunities to invite people to Christmas events and to share the gospel.
