Welcome

Check In – How is everyone doing (good things, teaching applied, lessons learned, prayers answered.)

Word

  • What is your favourite season?
  • Read Mark 16:1-8
  • What stands out to you most about this account of the resurrection, and why?
  • The women came to anoint a body, expecting death. How does their perspective change by the end of the passage?
  • What is significant about the angel mentioning “Peter” by name (v. 7)? What does this reveal about Jesus?
  • The women left in fear and trembling, yet they had just heard the best news in history. How can we relate to having a mixture of faith and fear?
  • The women were worried about the stone, but it was already moved. When have you worried about a barrier that God removed?
  • How should the news “He is risen” impact the way you face challenges or disappointments this week?
  • Pastor John mentioned three people that met Jesus post-resurrection: Peter, Thomas and the men on the road to Emmaus.  What is each of their story and can you relate to any of them?
  • What is something that you could apply to your life?

Witness

How is the message of the resurrection significant in sharing the gospel?
