Who is this Man? Part 11: The Collapse of Dignity

Worship: Listen to a Worship song (If you need suggestions you can use one from the YouTube Playlist for this week) or express something that you are thankful to God for.

Welcome: Have you ever been to a place where you felt like you did not belong?

Word: Read Matthew 18:1-5, Matthew 19:13-15

In Roman Culture children were not considered significant or important. Why does Jesus use kids as an example of greatness?

Jesus suggests becoming like a child (Matthew 18), what does he mean? What is Jesus teaching when he says that we need to “welcome” children?

In Matthew 19, why do you think the disciples want to keep the children away from Jesus?

Do we ever limit people’s access to God In our lives and in the church?  If so, How?

Jesus, by elevating children, was dealing with equality issues.  How do we still wrestle with them in our society?

What is one practical thing you need to apply from this lesson?

Witness:  Continue to pray for the people that you want to see come into a relationship with Christ. What are some practical ways that you can show the love of Christ to your family, co-workers, and neighbours, particularly in light of the COVID 19 pandemic?

Pray for these people and each other.
