Who is this Man? Part 12: A Staggering Idea

Worship: Listen to a Worship song (If you need suggestions you can use one from the YouTube Playlist for this week) or express something that you are thankful to God for.

Welcome: What do you think was the best invention ever?

Word: Read Luke 4:14-30

If someone asked you “Who is this man?” about Jesus.  Considering this sermon series and your own experience what would you say?

Why was it hard for people to hear what Jesus is saying in this passage of scripture?

Jesus states that he is going to bring good news, bring freedom to prisoners, recovery to the blind, set the oppressed free and proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.  How does Jesus do this in people’s lives?

How do we fit into Jesus’ plan of accomplishing this?

In 1 Corinthians 3:16, Paul states “Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst?” How does it feel that you are God’s temple?  How does this affect our lives? How would we live differently if we understood this truth?

What is something you need to apply from this message?

Witness:  Continue to pray for the people that you want to see come into a relationship with Christ. What are some practical ways that you can show the love of Christ to your family, co-workers, and neighbours, particularly in light of the COVID 19 pandemic?

Pray for these people and each other.
