• Did you ever have a secret spot as a kid (fort, treehouse or something)?
• Read Isaiah 45:3: In this verse it tells us that in secret places we discover who God is and that He knows us by name. Why is this important?
• The Bible tells us that Jesus often went to solitary places (Mark 1:34), Lonely Places (Luke 5:16), Quiet places (Mark 6:31-32) and away from crowds (Luke 5:16).  Why is it important that Jesus modelled this kind of lifestyle?
• Read the following scriptures Psalm 91:1, Psalm 27:5, Matthew 6:6, Psalm 46:10, Psalm 25:14, Deuteronomy 29:29 and Psalm 19:12.  What do these verses teach us about secret places and the secrets of God?
• Why do we sometimes have a hard time choosing to prioritize meeting God in secret places?
• Pastor John talked about being forced into a secret season.  Have you experienced anything like that? What did you learn? 
• What do you need to apply from this lesson?

• How can our secret times with God help us to reach others with the message of Jesus? Brainstorm some ideas that the small group can do together to reach our community with the gospel?
