Sunday: June 12, 2022
Series: If You Want to Walk on Water
Sermon: Seeing the Wind
Scripture: Matthew 14: 29-30, Genesis 37-50

Listen to a Worship song (If you need suggestions, you can use one from the YouTube Playlist for this week) or express something that you are thankful to God for.

Check In – How is everyone doing (good things, teaching applied, lessons learned, prayers answered)?

  • Tell about a time when your plans didn’t work in your life?
  • What role have problems played in your spiritual life?
  • Read: Matthew 14:29-30
  • What do you think Peter felt when he “saw the wind”?
  • Take a moment and summarize the life of Joseph in the Bible.  How would you feel if you were Joseph?  How could he be resilient during all that took place?
  • How would you describe your “resiliency factor”?  It what aspect of your life would you like to see it grow?
  • In times of problem and stress, people often are vulnerable to temptation.  In what areas do people compromise in?  How can we avoid this?
  • If God were to speak to you in the area of your greatest current problem, what do you think he might say?
  • What is something that you should apply from this message?

How can God use adversity in our lives to reach others with the message of Jesus?

Pray that God will help you apply this lesson.  Pray for any other requests you have.
